According to Rana, “The simplified visa process and visa-free entry for citizens of 126 countries reflect the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening global tourism ties.” He further expressed hope for reciprocal policies to benefit Pakistani citizens abroad.
Focus on Middle Eastern Tourists
The reform also highlights a focus on attracting tourists from key regions, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE, whose citizens now have the opportunity to explore Pakistan for up to 90 days visa-free. This adjustment is expected to foster closer tourism relations with Middle Eastern nations.
