Borith Lake is situated in Borith which is a hamlet in Gulmit in Gojal District.
Borith Lake is situated in Borith which is a hamlet in Gulmit in Gojal District, Hunza in Gilgit Baltistan. It is located at an altitude of 2600 meters and is a saline body of water.
Borith is used as a summer residence for the local people and serves their irrigation needs. It is truly a paradise in our beautiful Pakistan.
It is situated about 2 kilometers north of Gulmit and is accessible via Jeep route from Hussaini Village. Another way to reach BorithLake is through a trekking route of 2 to 3 hours. The track involves going through the Ghulkin Glacier.
The best months to visit are March to June, when one can witness the magnificent migration of thousands of ducks from Pakistan’s south to the heavenly north. Another attraction is a longer walk to Passu Gar that involves passing through BorithLake and Ghulkin Glacier.
