Kumrat Valley is a stunning beauty, abounding with natural habitat and splendid fauna and flora. Located in the beautiful landscape of the Upper Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the greenery and darkness of the pastures are simply spellbinding. The snow-clad mountains, the dense alpine forests, the cascading waterfalls, the sprightly streams, and the plushy meadows make it a paradise on earth for tourists.
Guide to Pakistan has ventured to arrange an exciting and adventure-mounted tour to this scenic panorama—the Kumrat Valley—to let you explore the extension of mother nature in its pristine form. Some of the salient attractions of the Kumrat Valley tour are listed here:
The first stop before entering Kumrat Valley is Thal village. Most tourists spend their first night here after traveling from Islamabad, and the following day they travel in jeeps toward Kumrat.
Jahaz Banda Kumrat waterfall is the most popular place for tourist destinations. Everyone who goes to Kumrat Valley must visit the spot. Over time, it has gotten slippery, so everyone must be extra cautious when climbing up to a waterfall.
The Panjkora River flows through the entire Kumrat Valley, and its roaring sound can be heard everywhere in the valley. It starts in the Hindu Kush Mountains and flows through the upper dir, the lower dir, and the Swat River. Trout fishing is the most popular activity on the river Panjkora.
Kala Chashma Kumrat is located about 5–10 kilometers from Kumrat Valley. It is a beautiful tourist destination. The water flows from backstones; that’s why it’s called the Kala Chashma. The place is covered with dense greenery, making it an attractive tourist attraction. You can drive a jeep over this distance or walk along the river.
Katora Lake is on the upper side of Jahaz Banda in Kumrat Valley, 3500 meters above sea level. This lake is called “Bowl Lake” since it is surrounded by snow-covered mountains that make it look like a bowl. The stunning natural scenery of Katora Lake has never failed to captivate visitors. Even though the distance between Jahaz Banda and Katora Lake is only 4.6 kilometers, your fitness level will determine how quickly you can complete the excursion.
The Kumrat Valley also has the stunning Baradand Lake. Beautiful meadows cover it. The walk to Bara Dand Lake is challenging, but once you get there, you won’t care about how challenging it is since the beauty of Bara Dand Lake will enchant you.
Another lovely village in the Kumrat Valley is Chahrot Banda, which is situated at an elevation of 8300 feet. The region is entirely green and flanked by high mountains. From the Chahrot banda, visitors can also see peaks covered in snow.
Badagoi Pass connects Upper Dir with Utror and Kalam. This pass is 3,523 meters above sea level. The road is rough, muddy, and full of rocks, so you can only get across in a jeep.
