In a Glimpse:
Borith Lake is situated in Borith which is a hamlet in Gulmit in Gojal District, Hunza in Gilgit Baltistan. It is located at an altitude of 2600 meters and is a saline body of water.
Borith is used as a summer residence for the local people and serves their irrigation needs. It is truly a paradise in our beautiful Pakistan.
How to get there:
It is situated about 2 kilometers north of Gulmit and is accessible via Jeep route from Hussaini Village. Another way to reach BorithLake is through a trekking route of 2 to 3 hours. The track involves going through the Ghulkin Glacier.
What to do there:
The best months to visit are March to June, when one can witness the magnificent migration of thousands of ducks from Pakistan’s south to the heavenly north. Another attraction is a longer walk to Passu Gar that involves passing through Borith Lake and Ghulkin Glacier.
